About Osaka Institute of Technology
The Osaka Institute of Technology (OIT) is a university that educates engineering specialists with cutting-edge expertise who can lead the rapidly globalising, knowledge-based society.
It is a private university in the Osaka Prefecture in Japan. It has three campuses: the Omiya campus located in Asahi-ku, Osaka city; Umeda campus in Kita-ku, Osaka city and Hirakara campus located in Hirakata City.
The university has four undergraduate faculties: intellectual property (the first and only faculty of its kind in Japan), engineering, robotics and design and information science and technology.
There are also four graduate schools: intellectual property, engineering, robotics and design and information science and technology.
There are a number of research centres associated with the university undertaking research in robotics and design, virtual reality, nanomaterials and human robotics among others.
The institute has a number of partnerships with universities from all over the world including Finland, Indonesia, Norway, India and Australia.
