While I applaud the article on Epstein-Barr virus ("On the trail of the killer doctors forgot", THES, February 9), I am appalled at the faux pas of calling Lake Malawi by its old colonial name of Lake Nyasa. Perhaps the writer had become bemused by Paul Cartledge's article on cartography.
