You state that "Middlesex University is making six academics compulsorily redundant". This is not true.
The university has lost 90 posts, mostly through not filling vacancies. After a review of overstaffed areas, nine staff were offered redeployment and retraining opportunities. Five have found new posts or have begun retraining. Two have accepted voluntary redundancy. The university is confident that it will complete a major rebalancing exercise without making anyone compulsorily redundant.
