关于 Nanhua University

Nanhua University is located in the Dalin Township, Chiayi County, Taiwan, about 225 kilometres from the capital city of Taipei and 110 kilomeres from Kaohsiung.

Founded in 1996 as the Nanhua College of Management, it was elevated to university status in 1999.

The university was founded by the Buddhist monk Venerable Master Hsing Yun and is funded through the support of millions of followers of the international Humanistic Buddhist organisation and monastic order of Fo Guang Shan.

The National Life Education Centre, a government-commissioned project, promotes life education and character education together with the Three Acts of Goodness Initiative – Do Good Deeds, Speak Good Words, Think Good Thoughts, implemented by Hsing Yun.

The university is comprised of five colleges: management; humanities; social sciences; arts; science and technology, as well as the Centre for General Education.

The university has approximately 5,500 students enrolled in 20 undergraduate programmes, 24 graduate programmes and one doctoral programme.

Situated on a 63-hectare mountain slope, numerous rare birds and other wildlife have made the campus their home.

Four dormitories accommodate students on campus in two-person, three-person and four-person suites, each equipped with internet, desks, chairs, bookcases, wardrobes, bathrooms and balconies. Students with school dormitory IDs can take the bus for free.

There are more than 60 student societies at the university that cover a range of different interests and activities including academia, sports, leisure, music, service oriented and recreational activities.

The university has exchange partnerships with many countries across Asia, Europe, Australia and North and South America.
