Kannur University

Kannur University is in the southern Indian state of Kerala and was founded in 1996.

The history of the university can be traced back to the formation of Malabar University in 1995, before it was renamed Kannur University the following year. The university has its main offices in Kannur and has other campuses in Kasargod, Mananthavady, and Thalassery.

Kannur University offers a wide range of courses, including arts, science, commerce, management, law, and engineering. The university also offers many interdisciplinary and specialised programmes.

The university has set up several research centres and institutes that focus on biodiversity, biotechnology, nanotechnology, and management studies.
