Jaypee University of Information Technology

Jaypee University of Information Technology is a private university located in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India. Established in 2002, the university is a part of the Jaypee Group, which is conglomerate company with interests in various industries, including education.

The university has seven academic departments; biotechnology and bioinformatics, civil engineering, computer science and engineering and information technology, electronics and communication engineering, humanities and social sciences, mathematics, physics and material science.

There are several youth clubs that students can join including technical sciences, movies and photography club, sports club, literary and debating club, theatre and music club, cultural and dance club and the environment, ecology, and health club.

There are also six main committees that students can join; the events and procurement committee, the registration and hospitality committee, the media and publicity committee, the creative arts committee, the disciplinary committee and the finance committee.
