Universities' success in internationalising their research output is to be recognised at this year's Times Higher Education Awards.
The International Collaboration of the Year Award will join 17 existing categories, including University of the Year, Most Innovative Teacher of the Year, Outstanding Support for Students and the Lord Dearing Lifetime Achievement Award.
Nominations are now open and will run until 11 June.
Ann Mroz, editor of THE, said: "Our awards have always championed excellence regardless of impact agendas, mission groups or government schemes. With the recent launch of our #loveHE campaign, which celebrates the joys and triumphs of higher education, we are committed to highlighting the very best of the sector, wherever it is found."
Winners will be announced at a black-tie dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 25 November. Nearly 1,200 guests attended last year's ceremony, when Teesside University was named THE University of the Year 2009.
