Hofstra University - Frank G Zarb School of Business

The Frank G. Zarb School of Business is a private university business school located at Hofstra University in Long Island, 25 miles from New York City. It is named after alumnus Frank G. Zarb, former chair and CEO of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and a senior partner of Lazard Freres & Co.

The school operates over five departments: accounting, taxation and legal studies in business; finance; information systems and business analytics; management and entrepreneurship and marketing and international business.

Bachelor of business administration courses are offered in accounting; legal studies in business; finance; information systems; business analytics; entrepreneurship; management; supply chain management; international business and marketing.

Graduate programmes include: integrated dual degree programmes; master of business administration; accelerated One-Year Hybrid MBA; Full-Time Co-op MBA; Flex MBA Program; MBA in Manhattan; Online MBA; Executive MBA (hybrid program); Master of Science and various certificate programmes.

Zarb’s MBA and MS Concentrations include: accounting; business analytics; finance; health services management (MBA); human resources management (MS); information systems; international business (MBA); management (MBA); marketing; marketing research; professional accountancy (MBA); quality management (MBA); quantitative finance (MS); sports and entertainment management (MBA); strategic business management (Online and Manhattan MBA); strategic healthcare management (Online and Manhattan MBA) and taxation.

There are various dual degree programmes available including one with Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE).

There are a number of undergraduate and graduate student societies focused on financial and economic areas of interest. There is also a Student Managed Investment Fund and the Martin B. Greenberg Trading Room. Meanwhile, among other societies, alumni can join the The New York Business Schools Club (NYBSC) network.

Research Centres at Zarb include: The Center for Entrepreneurship; The Center for International Financial Services and Markets and The Wilbur F. Breslin Center for Real Estate Studies.
