关于 Changsha University of Science and Technology

Changsha University of Science and Technology can trace its origins back to 1956, but the university took its current form and name in 2003 through the merger of Changsha’s Institutes of Transportation and Electrical Power. The aim of the merger was to form a university focussed on engineering, along with teaching in science, management, economics, law, philosophy and the arts.

It is one of 55 institutions of higher education in Changsha, the capital of Hunan, a landlocked province in South Central China.

The majority of courses are in Chinese but there are English-medium undergraduate courses in civil engineering harbour, waterways and coastal engineering; hydraulic and hydro power and computer science and technology.

The International College was founded in 2015 as "a teaching college in line with international standards, with distinctive Chinese characteristics". It offers Road of Silk scholarships to full-time students from countries covered by the Belt and Road programme.

There are currently exchange and cooperation agreements with around 90 universities from 20 countries. It supports Confucius Institutes at the University of Liberia and offers degrees in Chinese language and culture at the University of Montenegro and University Malaysia Sabah.
