MY letter (THES, June 26) about collegial governance went on to list new universities at which there had been allegations of mismanagement and/or corruption. I inadvertently referred to Derby: I had meant the difficulties at Derby Wilmorton College and had not meant to imply that there had been any such problems at the University of Derby. I would like to record my apologies to the University of Derby.
