We have no wish to add fuel to the fire, but the letter from Natfhe's president and higher education chair (THES, February 23) is the second time the Association of University Teachers' academic-related membership has been written off as of no relevance. Professionals such as administrative, computer and library staff count in higher education as much as lecturers. It causes some offence when they are merely subtracted from AUT's membership and discounted.
