The University of Liverpool’s research expertise and technology development infrastructure drives science collaboration for major particle physics experiments worldwide
Particle physics is a “global endeavour”, said Joost Vossebeld, head of particle physics at the University of Liverpool. The university’s reputation as a leading centre for the study of the fundamental properties of the universe has enabled the institution and its researchers to contribute to major experiments around the world.
“We have unique expertise and infrastructure at Liverpool, particularly in the design and construction of detector systems, which are needed for making evermore precise measurements,” Vossebeld told the THE Connect podcast. “We are pushing the frontiers of particle physics to understand the deepest secrets of the universe.”
