Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture, Fergana

The Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture, Fergana was established in 2017.

Located 165 miles from Tashkent, Fergana has a strategic position close to the border with Kyrgyzstan.

Courses are available in theatre and film drama, musical theatre, puppet theatre, library and information, choreography, traditional song, organ, folk arts for children and in song and dance, and other production techniques.

It publishes a Journal of Oriental Arts and Culture. Notable research projects have looked at the role of teachers in training actors and into Uzbek cultural traditions with a history of strong female contributions.
