About Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi

Founded in 1947, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is a state university in Corpus Christi, Texas, US. 

The university provides courses ranging from business, criminal justice and psychology to education, engineering, biology, computer science, environmental science and nursing.

Texas A&M Corpus Christi also offers tuition to students whose first language isn’t English to prepare them for US unversities.

Research-wise, the university’s Harte Research Institute runs the Texas One Gulf Center of Excellence, which promotes the sustainable use and conservation of the Gulf of Mexico. The Conrad Blucher Institute for Surveying and Science investigates geospatial issues.

Students can play baseball, basketball, cross country, tennis, track and field, volleyball, beach volleyball, soccer and golf at Texas A&M, and compete in Division III championships. 

Some notable alumni are Sarah Pauly, softball player, Kim Henkel, screenplay writer, producer and actor, Larry D. Wyche, US Army Lieutenant General and Texas politician Robert Gammage.
