Shivaji University, Kolhapur

Shivaji University, Kolhapur has a history that dates back to 1962. One of the main objectives behind the foundation of the university was to cater to the regional needs of South Maharashtra. It began operating with 34 affiliated colleges and 14,000 students. Today, it has 280 affiliated colleges and a student body of 300,000.
