About Lafayette College
There are over 50 areas of study available at Lafayette, in the sectors of the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering. Lafayette is one of a handful of undergraduate colleges to offer discipline-specific degrees in engineering along with degrees in the liberal arts. There are six majors available in separate fields of engineering, though all have a uniform first year teaching to allow students to pick a specialism. Students across the college will usually select a major at the conclusion of their sophomore year, and if meeting grade requirements may pursue a dual major or tailor a specific major across two departments. Much of the curriculum includes experiential learning beyond classroom and laboratory studies.
