About Duzce University
Duzce University was established in 2006 with three faculties. Since then, the university has expanded, now having 14 faculties, four institutes, two colleges and 10 vocational schools.
The university’s motto is “the university that creates value”, with the vision to be a pioneer in environment and health technologies, and a local leader with their research projects.
The faculties include: art, design and architecture; arts and sciences; agriculture and natural sciences; business administration; education; engineering; forestry; medical Sciences; Medicine; Political Sciences; Sports Sciences; Technology; Technical Education and Theology.
Duzce University has become known for its ground-breaking achievements, such as the creation of Turkey’s first honey forest. It also achieved the first and only European Entrepreneurship award. The university plays an important role in research and development with its Technopark, which organises training programmes and promotes entrepreneurship skills through competitions and events. These include Startup Weekend and Bolu-Duzce R&D Project Market.
Students can complete internships or study abroad on Erasmus exchange programmes as part of their studies. Outside of their studies, the university also offers volunteering opportunities within Europe. Students will go abroad to work in areas that require volunteers from periods ranging between two and 12 months.
Duzce is the capital city of Turkey’s newest province, Duzce. It’s located near the Karadeniz coast, surrounded by mountains and green space.
