About University of Halabja

University of Halabja is a public university formed by the provincial government of Kurdistan in 2010.

It was accredited by Iraq’s national Ministry of Higher Education in 2020. The university is divided across its main city centre campus and the School of Education established at Sharazoor in 2019, where just over 500 students study either Kurdish early years education or human development.

The largest of the Halabja schools is basic education. Other schools include law and administration, human sciences, science, physical education and sports science and engineering.
