About Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology
Established in 1964, Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology is Bangladesh’s second oldest engineering college.
Originally a college comprised of 122 students, it was granted full university status in 2003 and has continued to grow in size and stature. It now caters to nearly 3,000 students, and has 200 staff, housed on the "green" campus.
On-campus living facilities have their own kitchens, groceries, and recreational amenities, and a university-run medical centre. It also has educational facilities including classrooms, lecture halls, laboratories and educational technology.
The university is located in Rajshahi, the capital of the province and district of the same name.
Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology has 18 departments offering a wide range of both bachelor and master’s degree programmes. These include: mathematics, humanities, electrical and computer engineering, civil engineering, chemistry, mechatronics engineering, physics, materials science and engineering, glass and ceramic engineering, building engineering and construction management, urban and regional planning and chemical engineering.
