About Riara University
Riara University is part of the Riara Group of Schools, founded in 1974 with the aim to go beyond the conventional classroom and syllabus-based learning. Instead, the Group adapts to the ever-changing process of education from infant to secondary level. Riara University itself was established in 2017.
Riara University has a range of facilities that include an innovation centre, audio visual lecture rooms, ICT facilities, and a students centre.
The university has six academic schools, across which it offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. These schools include: law, business, computing, international relations and diplomacy, communication and multimedia journalism, and education.
Riara’s students can join sports clubs to community service, and clubs and societies. The student centre hosts regular mentoring, career advice, and events throughout the year, and all students have access to a career preparation and placement programme to gain vital work experience before graduating.
Riara University has a range of partnerships that provide opportunities for its students. The partners include public sector organisations such as Unicef and the Kenya Education Management Institute, and companies like IBM, Canon, Cisco, Microsoft, Enactus, and Oracle.
The campus itself is just a 20-minute drive from Nairobi City Centre, and 15-minutes from the Wilson Airport, making it easily accessible for students travelling from across Africa and beyond.
