The Philippine Normal University is a public research university in the Philippines. The university was established in 1901 and has campuses across Manila, North Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The university is primarily centered towards training proficient teachers and it was declared the Philippine’s National Center for Teacher Education in 2008.
The university is home to a range of colleges and institutes include the College of Flexible Learning, the College of Graduate Studies and Teacher Education Research, the College of Teacher Development, the Institute of Knowledge Management, the Institute of Physical Education, Health, Recreation, Dance and Sports, and the Institute of Teaching and Learning.
The university runs different student publications managed by university students. The university also holds a citywide journalism training seminar for high school publications known as the “Liyab” and a popular literary workshop known as “LitSem”.
