About Andijan State Medical Institute
Founded in 1955, Andijan State Medical Institute was the only higher education institution in Fergana Valley, Central Asia.
The university is located in Andijan, a city in eastern Uzbekistan.
The university is organised into four faculties: faculty of medicine, paediatric faculty, dental faculty, and the faculty of advance training and retraining of physicians. Each faculty consists of different departments, which offer a range of both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes.
The university has developed partnerships with other higher education institutions across the globe such as the Samyuk Medical Centre in Korea and the University of Pisa in Italy. These partnerships enable the university to participate in joint research projects, as well as academic and scientific exchanges.
As a member of the Erasmus International Programme, the university offers its students the opportunity to study abroad at one of its partner institutions for one or two semesters.
