About Angeles University Foundation

Angeles University Foundation was established in 1962 by husband and wife, Agustin and Barbara Angeles. In less than nine years it gained university status, and in 1975 became a non-profit educational foundation when the couple relinquished their ownership.

A couple of years later in 1978, Angeles University Foundation, or AUF, was converted to a Catholic University, the first in central Luzon.

The Angeles University Foundation aims to combine the teachings of the Catholic Church with education.

AUF is located in the Filipino city of Angeles, about 75km north of Manila.

The university is home to Central Luzon’s first private teaching, training, and research hospital, the AUF Medical Centre. Its campus is also home to a sports and cultural centre, featuring NBA basketball flooring donated by the late Dr. Emilio T. Yap. There’s an AUF Museum, football field, and green spaces across the campus.

Prospective students have a wide range of degree programmes to choose from across 10 colleges and schools spanning law, medicine, arts and sciences, business and accountancy, criminal justice education, computer studies, education, engineering and architecture, and nursing.

Students have plenty to do outside of their studies, including student clubs and activities such as concert chorus, dance, Glee club, brass band, ballroom, gymnastics, basketball, and more. As a Catholic University, students can also develop their spiritual knowledge through co-curricular Christian programmes.
