About University of El Oued
University of El Oued first opened in 2001. It is situated in the small city of El-Oued, known as the "City of a Thousand Domes" thanks to the frequent use of domed architecture as a novel but efficient way to beat the desert heat.
The university is recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Algeria It is a relatively large institution and enrols some 25,000 students each year.
University of El Oued has a wide curriculum and offers a range of recognised qualifications including bachelor degrees, master degrees and doctorate degrees.
The university faculties cover a range of subjects including technology, life sciences, the arts, languages, social sciences, humanities, law, political sciences and economics.
There are a good range of facilities here too, including a library, student accommodation, sports facilities and financial help including scholarships. There are also a range of ways to study including study abroad and exchange programmes, distance learning services and online courses.
