About KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology

KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in 2009 by KPR Group. KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology was founded in 1984 and is committed to changing the lives of people through manufacturing, engineering, education and charities.

The institute is located in Coimbatore, a city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

There are eight undergraduate courses available at the institute: artificial intelligence and data science, civil engineering, electronics and communication engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science and engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and electrical and electronics engineering. There are also a number of postgraduate and PhD programmes on offer.

There is also the sciences and humanities department, which was established in 2009. It is divided into five areas of study: physics, English, mathematics, chemistry and physical education.

Outside of the classroom there are over 100 clubs and societies that students can join. These include the art and craft club, drama club, photography club, business club and software development club.

The Centre for Research and Development is a state-of-the-art research centre that is equipped with cutting edge technologies. The centre carries out research across the fields of physics, chemistry, civil engineering, computer science, electronics and communication engineering, and mechanical engineering.
