About Rzeszów University of Technology

Rzeszow University of Technology, based in Rzeszow in southeastern Poland, was founded in 1951.

While it began as a vocational school of engineering, it has now developed into a university offering a plethora of different courses.

Approximately round 17,000 students study at the university at various levels, including bachelor, masters and PhD. There are six faculties including mechanical engineering and aeronautics, electrical and computer engineering, civil and environmental engineering, chemistry, management and mathematics and applied physics.

There are a number of courses taught in English including civil engineering, mathematics, biotechnology and mechatronics.

The faculty of mechanical engineering and aeronautics has been training civil aviation pilots since 1976 and it is the only university in Poland to do so. At the end of the course, pilots receive an MSc in aeronautical engineering and a 2nd Class (CPL) pilot’s licence, which meets European requirements.

On campus, students will find a library with over 150,000 books as well as a whole host of magazines and online periodicals, lecture rooms, IT and language laboratories, a professional TV and radio recording studio and read and relax room.

The campus also has seven hostels for students to live in providing accommodation for around 2,500 students.

For those with a passion for sport, there are plenty of clubs to join including: football, horse riding, canoeing, aerobics, karate, chess, cycling, athletics, swimming, table tennis, windsurfing and sailing.

Rzeszow University of Technology has established relationships with universities around the world including Tennessee Technological University (US), Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and University of Derby (UK).
