About Mackenzie Presbyterian University
Mackenzie Presbyterian University often referred to as Mackenzie University, was founded in 1870, in São Paulo, Brazil, by the Presbyterian Church. The university's establishment was part of the church's mission to provide high-quality education based on Christian principles. Mackenzie Presbyterian University is one of the oldest universities in Brazil.
The university comprises multiple faculties and schools, including the law, business and economics, engineering, communication and arts, architecture and city planning, computer science, theology, biological sciences and health, physical education, philosophy, language and education and philosophy.
It promotes research activities among faculty members and students and has research centres and institutes that focus on areas like engineering, technology, law, economics, communication, and social sciences.
The university has multiple campuses located in São Paulo, Campinas, Barueri (Campus Alphaville), Brasilia, Curitiba and Rio de Janeiro. The main campus, known as the Higienópolis Campus, is in the heart of São Paulo . It provides students with modern facilities, sports facilities, and student support services.
