About Taif University
Taif University was established in 2004. At its core are five key values: transparency, teamwork, excellence, belonging, and being role models.
The university’s main campus is located in Al-Hawiyya, a town in the Taif Governorate.
There are also three other branch campuses located in the Taif Governorate: Taraba Branch, Khurma Branch and Ranya Branch.
The university is organised into four colleges, which include the medical colleges, the humanities and education colleges, the Shari’ah and administration colleges, and the science and engineering colleges. Each college offers a range of both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes.
Outside of the classroom, students are encouraged to get involved in the university’s extracurricular activities. The Deanship of Student Affairs is responsible for overseeing these activities and the university’s college clubs. These include the languages and translation club, the tourism and archaeology club, the cyber security club, the creativity club, and the fashion design club.
There are a number of centres at the university that facilitate research projects throughout the year such as the High Altitude Research Centre, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre, and the Simulation and Medical Training Centre.
