About Donghua University
Donghua University was founded in 1951 as the China Textile University, located in downtown Shanghai. The university has a high reputation for disciplines including Textile Engineering, Material Science, and Fashion Design. The university offers both undergraduate and degree programmes across its 13 schools and colleges.
The 13 schools and colleges at Donghua include those related to fashion, including fashion and innovation, fashion and art design, and textile science. There are also several science schools, such as material science and engineering; information science and technology; computer science and technology; environmental science and engineering; science; chemistry and biotechnology; and mechanical engineering. The university also offers degrees in humanities, foreign language, physical education, and arts education.
There are 54 undergraduate programmes on offer at Donghua University as well as 59 master’s degree programmes and 30 doctoral programmes.
Donghua University has a large international focus, offering joint degree programmes, exchanges and summer programmes to students from across the world. Students can travel and study in Canada, the US, France, the UK, Thailand and many more countries, experiencing new cultures and ways of life.
