About Molloy College
Molloy College is a high-performing college based in Long Island, New York. It is a private Catholic liberal arts college with over 50 programmes of study on offer.
In 1955, the Molloy College for Women was opened on ground purchased by the Sisters of St Dominic in Rockville Centre, Long Island. The college dropped “for Women” from its name in 1971, and the next year its first male nursing students joined.
Molloy College has seven academic divisions: Education, Natural Sciences, Humanities, Nursing, Business, Social Sciences and Continuing Education and Professional Development.
There are a number of institutes at the university dedicated to tackling issues through research and discussion. The Energeia Partnership is a forum for Long Island’s top ethicists working in the public, private and charity sectors. The partnership seeks solutions to the area’s most pressing problems, from poverty to racism. The Molloy College Institute for Interfaith Dialogue brings together people of all different faiths to celebrate their similarities and differences.
The campus is situated just one hour away from Manhattan. Students can also entertain themselves through more than 50 student organisations on offer, from Ping Pong Club to the Model United Nations.
