About Ithaca College

Originally established as a conservatory of music in 1892, Ithaca College is a private college located in the city of Ithaca in New York State with a history of producing some internationally renowned leaders in the media and entertainment industries.

While entertainment and media remain central to Ithaca College, there is a range of other academic disciplines offered through the five schools – the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance, the School of Humanities and Sciences, the Roy H. Park Schools of Communications, the School of Business, and the School of Music.

The main Ithaca College campus is located on South Hill in Ithaca, but there are also satellite campuses in cities including London, Los Angeles and Washington.

The university has a well-established range of student exchange programs with universities across the world, in countries including China, Sweden, Australia and Singapore.

The Ithaca College sports teams, known as the Bombers, compete in the NCAA Division III, the Empire Eight Conference, and the Eastern College Athletic Conference, and the university teams are among some of the strongest in their league with a total of 15 national titles.

Famous former students include CEO of The Walt Disney Company, Bob Iger, Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor David Boreanaz, ABC News anchor David Muir, Grammy Award-winning filmmaker Mark Romanek and actress C.C.H. Pounder.
