Baker College of Owosso

Baker College of Owosso consists of Swiss-chalet-style buildings within a high-quality learning environment. The roots of Baker College trace back to the turn of the 20th century, with the founding of Muskegon College by Woodbridge Ferris, who later became Governor of Michigan.

Throughout the years since, the schools continued to thrive and the group began to expand its outreach through the acquisition of other schools and locations – including Owosso

The Owosso campus offers a variety of subjects for students to study, which includes: business administration, radiologic technology, and nursing, computer information systems, automotive services, early childhood development, and more.

The campus is designed for hands-on learning, with state-of-the-art classrooms, alongside specialised training facilities equipped with the latest technologies and learning centre.

The library at Owosso offer a variety of materials to support students through their study – consisting of over 30,000 print titles, 40,000 e-books, and 100 article databases. The library houses journals, magazines, and our career study materials. There are also two group study rooms.

Baker College has been recognised with a gold ranking for the second year in a row by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency’s (MVAA) Veteran-Friendly School Programme. It recognises Michigan colleges and universities for their commitment to veterans and their dependents attending school under the GI Bill.

The campus – nestled among tree-lined streets – is small and friendly and wholesome offering quiet places to study. Owosso offers fun festivals and events, art galleries, historic homes, great restaurants, unique shopping, cultural activities and a real castle.
