About Grace College and Theological Seminary

Grace College and Seminary is a Christian college based in Indiana. In 1927, it was formed as the Grace Theological Seminary under the leadership of Alva J. McClain. What started as a two-year undergraduate division has since transitioned into a four-year arts college.

Notably, the college applies biblical values in an effort to strengthen character and sharpen competence, to ensure that students are prepared for the professional world. Despite being historically associated with the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches, the student body and faculty are in fact of diverse backgrounds.

The college has five schools, based on the main campus, which are: Arts and Sciences, Behavioural Sciences, Business, Ministry Studies, and Professional & Online Education. Some of the most popular degrees are: theatre studies, engineering, museum studies, public relations, world languages, psychology and marketing.

The college is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada.

There is a college newspaper – The Sounding Board – that is published biweekly. While largely student run, and entirely student written –  Dr. Paulette Sauders, who chairs Grace's department of Languages, Literature, and Communication, oversees production.

Known athletically as the Lancers, sports teams at Grace College compete as members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Division 1. There are 15 separate teams, which include: baseball, basketball, cross country, soccer, tennis, track and field, golf, softball, and volleyball.

Grace College students attend chapel sessions in the morning on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays on campus, in the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Centre.

Notable alumni include Louie Giglio, who is the pastor of Passion City Church and public speaker, author, and the founder of the Passion Movement, Mark James Keough, a businessman and a Christian pastor, and Jim Banks, an American politician and Republican member of the Indiana Senate.
