About Flagler College

Flagler College is an arts college based in Florida, which has roots dating back to 1968. It is a small residential college based on the coast, with Spanish architecture and a plethora of nooks and crannies for students to curl up with a book.

There are a variety of courses on offer for students, which include longstanding courses such as business, education, design, fine art, psychology, communication and sport management, alongside some of the more innovative new courses, like coastal environmental science.

Flagler has its own student-run newspaper called The Gargoyle, which in 2010, went online-only. In 2012, the renowned paper took first place for best independent online publication at the Society of Professional Journalists’ Mark of Excellence Region 3 awards. Since 2010, The Gargoyle has won nine Regional Mark of Excellence awards and published three more from Flagler Communication Department classes.
