About University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz Medical Campus

The University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) comprises two of the four campuses of the University of Colorado state system: the main campus in downtown Denver and the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora.
CU Denver has eight schools and colleges offering over 100 academic programmes. Its academic divisions are the College of Arts and Media, the College of Architecture and Planning, the School of Education and Human Development, the Business School, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering and Applied Science, the School of Public Affairs and the Graduate School.
The Anschutz campus has six schools and colleges covering the health professions: medicine, dental medicine, nursing, public health, pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences, and its own graduate school.
CU Denver has the largest student veteran organisation in Colorado. It helps its graduate veterans transition from university to the world of work through its Boots to Suits programme.
The Denver campus provides excellent access to internship and employment opportunities with its location near the city’s bustling downtown district. It’s just as easy to escape into the wilderness of the Rocky Mountains for a weekend of hiking, climbing, skiing and camping.
Anschutz Medical Campus features two hospitals and 60 research institutions on its 230 acre campus. The world’s first liver transplant was carried out in Anschutz, as well as pioneering research into the use of human cell cloning to study genetics and cancer. Medical students can benefit from access to these leading research centres and close contact with the 1.7 million patients who pass through the campus annually.
