Established in 1992, this dynamic and young university has a clear mission: to cultivate a future-ready workforce, primarily in the fields of science and technology, while making profound contributions through impactful research and innovations, all while remaining steadfastly committed to sustainable development.

SUT stands tall among the nation's research universities and is actively charting its course towards becoming an entrepreneurial university. With a lush and spacious campus of over 1,100 hectares, SUT has 9 faculties with 10 centers of excellence focused on cutting edge research, innovations for society and entrepreneurship. With almost 600 faculty members, SUT has the highest doctoral ratio in the country, nurturing the minds of over 15,000 undergraduate and 1,500 postgraduate students.

SUT is ranked the 9th in Thailand in the THE World University Rankings, and 2nd in the THE Young University Rankings 2023. Moreover, we have earned a place among the world's top 100 institutions in four Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the THE Impact Ranking: SDG 1 No Poverty (41st), SDG 2 Zero Hunger (71st), SDG 7 Affordable and Clean Energy (78th), and SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production (80th). Additionally, we are proud to be counted among the top 50 ASEAN universities in the Webometrics rankings.
