Initially established in 1906 as the Central School of Speech Training and Dramatic Art, the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama is a constituent of the University of London.
The school is a member of the Federation of Drama Schools and offers undergraduate, postgraduate, research degrees, and short courses in acting, actor training, applied theatre, design, stage management and other variety of disciplines related to speech and drama.
The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama is also a member of the European Theatre Research Network, a partnership of the three elite higher education institutions committed to theatre and performance-making in Europe, namely: the University of Kent, Aarhus University and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
