Gengdan Institute of Beijing University of Technology

Established in 2005, the Gengdan Institute of Beijing University of Technology (GIBUT) is a young, dynamic undergraduate institution. It is a new type of university that takes advantage of the excellent resources of public universities, absorbs non-governmental investment, and follows the management model of foreign private universities. As an undergraduate institution, Gengdan hosts nearly 6,000 students and 500 teaching and administrative staff members. Gengdan Institute offers 22 majors, with academic programmes spanning science, technology, engineering, management, economics, languages, arts and the social sciences. Our teaching is career-oriented. The curriculum and the teaching methodology incorporate the essence of both Eastern and Western education systems. Our management philosophy and goals are based on linking education with practice.
