关于 Arizona State University: Carey
The W.P. Carey School of Business, founded in 1961, is the business school of Arizona State University. It began as the Department of Commerce, but changed to its current name following a $50 million pledge from the W.P. Carey Foundation in 2003. Full-tuition scholarships are available for the MBA, in part funded by this donation.
Today, it is the one of the largest business schools in the US, with around 10,000 undergraduate students, more than 1,000 graduates and more than 250 faculty members. The campus houses a research institute and 11 research and service centres, such as the Center for Advancing Business through Information Technology (CABIT), the Center for Environmental Economics and Sustainability Policy, and the Center for Real Estate Theory and Practice.
Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the MBA at W.P. Carey is available to study full-time, evening, weekend or executive and is housed in McCord Hall, a 12,000 square metre-facility which also has classroom space for other graduates and undergraduates.
W. P. Carey offers two undergraduate degrees. The Bachelor of Science offers options of nine business majors and the Bachelor of Arts degree in business offers core business courses with an additional focus in one of 16 interdisciplinary areas from other colleges at the university.
Notable alumni of the business school include vice president for player development at NFL Mike Haynes, professional Golfer Jeff Quinney and American football player for the Arizona Cardinals Pat Tillman.
