About University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir
The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir was founded in 1980 in Muzaffarabad, Pakistan.
It has faculties of science, arts, engineering, medicine and health sciences across two campuses in the city.
The main city centre site and Chehla Campus on the East Bank of the River Jhelum are linked by shuttle buses. There are other campuses in Neelam and Jhelum Valley.
The university has a Central Library which has a book bank scheme which allows students to buy textbooks at lower prices.
