Rabdan Academy

Rabdan Academy was established in 2013. It specialises in the fields of safety, security, defence, emergency preparedness and crisis management.

The academy is the first of its kind in the United Arab Emirates to adopt a dual approach to teaching. It combines academic and vocational education in one place while providing transferable credit from course to course and job to job.

The academy is located in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

There are six undergraduate degree programmes on offer at the academy: business continuity management, integrated emergency management, policing and security, crime scenes, intelligence analysis, and homeland security.

The academy also offers one graduate course: MSc policing and security leadership. This programme equips graduates with the skills and knowledge required for positions of senior responsibility. It focuses on ethical policing and security operations, organised crime, operational command, community safety, and strategic financial management.

The academy has developed partnerships with other higher education institutions around the world. These partnerships provide students with the opportunity to study abroad for one semester at one of its partner institutions such as Virginia Commonwealth University and Norwich University, both in the US.
