关于 Poznan University of Medical Sciences
The Poznan University of Medical Sciencees was founded as a department of pharmacy in 1919.
After closure during the Second World War, it was relaunched in 1950 to offer courses in medicine, dentistry and pharmacy and took its current name on attaining university status in 2007.
In 1993 it started full-time English-medium studies in Poland, admitting 14 students. Today more than 1,000 students take English-taught courses options including medicine, nursing, pharmacy and physiotherapy and a four-year accelerated MD programme designed for US and Canadian applicants. New students are guaranteed accommodation in a shared two-person room in one of the university dormitories.
Students can work at any of six affiliated hospitals with a combined 2,200 beds and options such as palliative care at the Pallium Institute. There are a range of facilities on site including a library, congress centre and medical biology building as well as lecture rooms. The university also has a number of medical and dental simulation labs which are offered in a four-storey facility, in Poland.
